Meet Vlad

I graduated from St. Petersburg State University, faculty of History, with a Masters degree. I also studied one semester at the University of Bergen in Norway, as an exchanged student. Since 2013 I’ve been working as a tour guide in St. Petersburg. I try constantly to expand my working environment. In 2018 I joined Sundowners Overland, leading Trans Siberian and Trans Mongolian Railway journeys as well as some along the Silk Road.

Favourite thing about Tour Leading: Opening new landscapes with a crew, together making this world smaller and more familiar.

Favourite place to visit and why: My travel experience is a never ending story. So far I have visited 22 countries in Europe and Asia. Iran is the most exotic and charming country I’ve seen so far.

On the road tips: Remember that we are on the same boat, don’t take too much stuff to carry and keep your eyes opened for new visions.

Hobbies, achievements and dreams: I love music! Mostly playing music, but also listening.
