How much money will you need for daily expenses in Uzbekistan?

The average daily cost for sightseeing, transport, food and entertainment is лB76,000 Sums (also som, soum), which is around $10 US dollars at the time of writing this article.

Uzbekistan has very few ATMs and almost none outside of Tashkent.

Recent currency reforms have made the black market obsolete, meaning currency can be exchanged in certified places rather than in shady corners of the bazaar.

Credit cards are not widely used so always carry cash. US dollars are the easiest to exchange.

Restaurants normally add a 10-15% service charge to bills, if there is not one it is good practice to tip this amount.
